Woburn Council of Social Concern

Woburn Council of Social Concern is a charitable, community-based agency established to respond to the basic needs of people. The organization helps individuals enlarge their potential and create good family and community relationships. They also promote respect for diversity. The Council was founded in 1969 by worried citizens who wanted to address the absence of affordable childcare, quality and housing issues.

Today, the Council serves over 3,000 individuals annually, with the support of 300+ volunteers. They provide various services to respond to community needs:

  • Food assistance;
  • Information and referral;
  • Community resource education;
  • Child care;
  • Parenting and wellness education;
  • Supervised visitation services.
